Thoughts.....

I'm sitting here at the computer contemplating life. Where does the time go? Have I done the best I could, did I do right by my girls??? When your children are little, you know pretty much what to tell them... be nice, use your manners, be clean, do your work....etc.  But, when they are on the verge of becoming adults and facing this world, you really suck in air and pray to God that everything that you did as a parent was right. Did you teach them enough? Did you tell them too much? Are they going to succeed?? Just teaching Morgan how to drive is giving me fits of panic!!!

I am sure that everything will all work out, but for this moment in time, I am feeling really insecure about the future. In the words of "Darling" from "Lady and the Tramp"... "All We Can Do Is Hope!"... :-)

Disneylaaannnddd!

So, I decided to spend the day with my girls at Disneyland. We had a blast! I was able to take Kirsten to whatever she wanted to go on and the older two went on all of the fast rides. It was so much fun!I love my girls...

I loved that Mickey Mouse uses the same stuff I do! But where does he get those sizes, not even Costco carries stuff this big! Hahahahaha
Morgan... my lovely Senior!
Kirsten... my little baby!
And my gorgeous Britt!
Here we are, waiting in line for the teacups. I asked a really nice gay guy to take this picture, because I knew #1, he would, #2, he would take a good picture, and #3, he wouldn't run off with my camera! LOL

Fourth of July!

Jason and I started off the day running in the Woodbridge 5K, while Yvon (our good friend) ran the 10K... (show off! hehe). Then off to our house for relaxation, good food, and great friends! What an awesome day it was... I wanted to add more pics, but my computer is not letting me... O'well!

Toothless!

Besides the fact that she is squinting in the sun... How cute is this picture? She finally lost her first tooth, on June 1, 2009! We were beginning to think that she was going to be stuck with these baby pearls until High School!8-) When I went to pick her up from school, she came running at me, tooth in hand, and all of the teachers were telling me that at snack time, she and her buddies were all taking turns wiggling the thing loose. And then during class, BAM! she just pulled it out! Tooooo funnny! That morning I was telling her that it was getting loose and by that afternoon, the thing was gone.  When she woke up the next morning, she told me that she had gotten a dollar from the tooth fairy, and how many more teeth did she need to lose to have $10? Needless to say.... We gave her the money in an effort to keep her ability to chew. She is a crack up!

Life made simple

This is as close to the old school "paper boats down the gutter", as we get around here! Brittany and Kirsten were enjoying our beautiful weather. They wanted to swim, but it is still a little too cool, so they decided to do this instead! Cute! What a great day!!

EARTHQUAKES!

OK! I am done with Earthquakes! I don't care if they are small or big, they scare the crap out of me! I want to never shower or sleep again, for fear that one is going to hit and find me vunerable! Or go to the bathroom... With every other form of Mother Nature we get some form of warning! But Earthquakes.... NOPE! Kirsten is ready to pack her bags and move to Texas! hehe I have to say that I am close behind her on that one! They never used to bother me until I had a family, now I am terrified!

Spring Break!

The girls and I went to the beach on Monday and Lily joined in...(my 4th child!). I just thought that I would share a few pics...

Brittany was only making this face because it was so bright. I know that she is going to kill me for this, but too bad!
I don't know why, but I just love this picture of Lily and Brittany.
Kirsten makes friends so easy... She just went right up this girl and another that isn't pictured here, and started playing with them! Too funny!
This is the perfect picture of pure bliss!

Easter fun '09

We had so much fun this Easter! Filled with food, Wii and Bowling!
Here is Kirsten in her Easter Dress! Isn't she adorable? I can NOT believe that I forgot to get a family picture!!! Morgan and Brittany looked so nice too! I'm sad!! O'well, at least I got one of them! hehehe
Grandma is teaching Kirsten a new game and the look on her face was priceless! Had to get a picture of it!

Here's most of the clan doing the roller coaster game on the Wii. It was so much fun! We all were worn out by the time we were done playing...

And last, but not least... Grandpa and his two older girls! Good Times!

Happy 14th Brittany!

Brittany turned 14! Holy cow! We are just months away from her going into High School! Where does the time go?? Here she is with the friends that came to her party. They had fun and 3 of them spent the night. Good times!
This is the trio. Since Morgan and Lily were in 5th grade these three have been friends. It will be interesting to see where life leads them....

First Soccer Practice!

Kirsten was finally able to join soccer. And somehow, I was made the soccer mom. So, I am a true suburbanite! hehe They had lavender jerseys, so Grandpa Paul told Kirsten she should go for the name of the Purple Dragons. And as you can see... her name won the vote. Yipee for Grandpa. Brittany drew the dragon for me. But, I got the chore of everything else. I had a little help from friends too, thank goodness.
Kirsten was born to run. I think that this is going to be her thing. This or Track and Field. We'll just have to wait and see...

Here she is with a few of her new team mates. How cute are they???

Morgan Driving!!!

Ok! I am so proud of myself! hehehe I drove with Morgan for 30 minutes and didn't scream at her once! It is so weird how they teach kids to drive now. We started off with simulators in order to get a "feel" for the driving wheel. Now we hire people to come and just put our kids into the car and then WHAMO! We the parent become the instructor! It is absolutely terrifying! I will be wowed and amazed when Morgan actually gets her license. We have 6 months to make her a confident driver! WISH ME LUCK!!! I think that she is going to be alright. She was moving really slow today, but I think that her skills will come along quickly. I appreciated the lack of speed to be honest with you! :-)

Mom moments...

I have found that as life whizzes past my head, I have to learn to "stop and smell the roses". This morning as I looked at my family, I realized how cool they were. Morgan and two of her friends had been offered extra credit for making a short film and sending it into the Yorba Linda Film Festival. I just shrugged it off as some other project that the girls would be doing and helped out when I needed to. When the final product was done, I was floored! Sure there were mistakes and some things didn't make sense, but I actually, truly, enjoyed watching this short film. Morgan directed and Britt acted in it. It was talent at it's best. Brittany was such a great actress and Morgan did such a great job of filming... I'm wowed!

Then this morning also... Kirsten was trying to wake up and I was trying to help her get ready for the day. I asked her what she would like to eat for breakfast, and in her sweet little voice said, "I'll just have whatever you're having", like we were at some restaurant! It made me crack up! Speaking of Kirsten I am off to pick her up from school! See Ya!!

The Palazzo

It has been a long time since Jason and I were able to get away. So, when Jason won a contest through Audi, we were thrilled at the opportunity to RUN! I just thought that I would share a few pics of the event. It was only two days, but worth every second!!!! And a special "THANK YOU" to Peggy for taking care of my girls... especially Kirsten who was sick the whole time that we were gone! :-( Poor baby, and poor Peggy for having to take care of her.

New President!

I have to say, that I was worried about Barrack Obama being President. It wasn't a color issue, or even a youth issue. I was bothered by the fact that I felt I never got a full picture from him. Not that I felt completely secure with McCain either. In this election, for me, the path was not paved in stone. Having said that.... I think that this nation is not one to go down easy. And I think that having to step out of our perverbial box, has brought people hope, and a desire to help their fellow man. Maybe Peggy was right when she was saying, that by putting Obama in office, we closed a gap of animosity between the races. Maybe now we can all stand together and help out our fellow man. If for no other reason, I am glad that he was elected. I didn't vote for him, but no matter which man won, we were in for big changes, be it with VP Palin, a woman or Pres. Obama a black man. I am excited about the future of change!!

The Holidays

T'was the night before Christmas....
And all through the house, not a creature was stirring... Not even my girls!
What was this? What could it be??? But lots of lovely presents, for me, Me, ME!
Is it that time already???

So what did I get? Tell me now, so I can go back to bed! hehe

Our Christmas and New Year's Eve were the same! Peaceful! We had a wonderful Holiday Season. I feel renewed and ready to head into the new year. I hope that all of you out there enjoyed your holidays as much and hopefully we can chat or get together soon!
